Congratulations in Yellow

Today we have a wedding, wait what? It's Sunday. I know right. I've never been to a Sunday wedding and I've been to a lot of weddings. So today's wedding card features stamps by Stampendous. I stamped the bride and groom with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. I die cut the image with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with yellow distress ink. The yellow background paper is by Bazzill, the gold is from a picture frame and the yellow polka dots paper is by Sunborn. Then I stamped the sentiment with Hero Arts black ink.

Christmas Joy

I have a new Christmas card for today. The background paper is unknown but the cardstock is by Recollections. I die cut the spiky circle from my Cricut and the other dies are by Spellbinders. I inked the side white scalloped circles with red distress ink and sprayed them with water. The holly and berries are also a Spellbinders die that I inked while they were still in the die to give some added depth. I die cut green foam to put underneath and the same for the berries but out of red foam. Then I stamped the sentiment by Hero Arts with red ink by Stampin Up. That's about it. I hope you are more prepared for Christmas then I am.

Scratch Cat Card

Today I have a cat card to share with a stamp by Inque Boutique. The patterned paper is by Paper Adventures {green}, Papertrey Ink {black polka dot} and American Crafts {Peach}. I die cut the peach die out using the Cricut. I used EK Sucess circle punches to cut out the image and the black polka dot circle. The black cardstock is by Recollections and I'm not sure about the sentiment but if I had to guess I would say it's part of a Die Cuts with a View stack. The button is from my MIL's stash and the ribbon is by Offray.

You're Too Kind

I have a new bottle cap card to share today. This one is a little more feminine then others with the colors of pink, grey and white. The white cardstock is by Recollections and all the other papers are by Sunborn. I really like this grid style for a card because it is so clean looking. The bottle cap has been smashed by my husband and I placed a Martha Stewart flower sticker inside and then placed a Epiphany Crafts clear epoxy sticker over that. The sentiment is a Stampin Up stamp and I stamped it with Hero Arts black ink.

I then inked the image with 3 different blue distress inks and an ink blending tool both by Ranger. I matted the image onto white cardstock and then onto the blue flower patterned paper by Die Cuts with the View. Then the polka dot patterned paper is by Papertrey Ink. The ribbon is from Michael's.

Let's Celebrate Cupcake

Today's card is so cheerful and bright. I stamped the Tim Holtz blueprint cupcake with Hero Arts black ink onto Strathmore watercolor paper and colored it in with Peerless Watercolors. Then the sentiment was stamped with Versa Color black ink and dry embossed with clear embossing powder. The yellow cardstock is by Bazzill and the background paper is by Cosmo Cricket. The yellow cardstock has been punched with a border punch from Martha Stewart and then I wrapped this ribbon around the panel and made a bow.

The ribbon is by The Paper Studio and the twine is from Oriental Trading Co.

Sassy Studio Designs Release Day

Today is the day of the new release at Sassy Studio Designs. We are celebrating with a fabulous blog hop showcasing all the new images. And what's a blog hop without prizes

The new prize system works like this:
FOUR lucky BLOG HOP participants from 4 RANDOMLY CHOSEN DT blogs will win 1 image of their choice.

And the Grand Prize winner at the END of the HOP will win the entire collection

And at 6 pm PST on Saturday, December 12th come join us at the Party Chat and have a few laughs with the DT & Sassy fans. You never know when FREEBIES will pop up.

So onto my card. I'll admit, I know nothing about Star Wars other than there is a movie coming up. So when I was asked to use the Luke image I colored the wrong dude. Lol but not really that funny. Once I realized the mistake I printed out Luke onto X-Press It Blending Card, which is a new Copic marker paper for me but it seems to work pretty well and I colored him in with Copic markers and colored pencils by Stampin Up. I didn't have any space paper so I went with this Me and My Big Ideas paper from a boy stack that I've had for ever. It matches. It works. The side border is a Martha Stewart punch out of Sunborn paper. The other cardstock on my card were scraps I found in my stash.

Time to get hopping. Here is the Blog Hop Order:

Together Forever

Today I have another ring card for you. You can see the first one I posted HERE. The diamond is a Sweet Stamp Shop stamp however they no longer sell it. I think that you could use THIS one by Ellen Hutson or THIS die set or Lawn Fawn has a new set.

The actual ring is gold heat embossed white cardstock that  I did a Jennifer McGuire trick by taking the Versa Mark ink pad and patting it onto white cardstock in a large enough area to fit my circle punches. I punched a small circle first and then a larger circle just outside the small circle to make a ring. I used punches by Creative Memories and EK Success.

The rest of my card uses die cuts by Spellbinders and on the kraft colored cardstock I inked it with distress ink in the center and sprayed with water mixed with gold Perfect Pearls. The top paper is by Colorbok and the bottom paper is recycled packaging.

Happiness Always

For my card today I cut out an intricate die using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge. It's an off white in color but I don't have a manufacturer name for that cardstock. The patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View and the burgundy cardstock is from Hobby Lobby. The center of the die cut is a flower die by K and Co that I sprayed with Ranger's Perfect Pearls mist in gold. Then the sentiment is by Stampin Up stamp in black Hero Arts ink.

Deep Red Stamps Forever Friends

Today my card uses a dragonfly stamp by Deep Red Stamps that you can find at

or

I used the Cricut to die cut the label and it's shadow that the dragonfly is on. The white paper is watercolor cardstock by Ranger Industries and the patterned paper is by American Crafts. I inked the stamp with black Versa Color pigment ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. I used some unused distress inks, well that's kind of harsh, these inks have less table time then other colors. Anyway I used the distress inks with a water pen to color the image in-Aged Mahogany, Tattered Rose, and Frayed Burlap are some distress inks I do't grab a lot. The background paper is by is by Poppy Stamps, the ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment sticker is by Three Bugs in a Rug.

The other two die cuts are Spellbinders dies. The white and black cardstock is by Recollections the kraft cardstock is by Oriental Trading Co and the other tan-ish colored paper is by Color-Aid. Manly Monday Chuggin Along

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I don't have any other blogger's cards today, just my own. I've been a crazy woman scrapping to get some books done that I've been commissioned to do. Then I get to spend the rest of December working on family calendars. Yah! Not really. I won't say I hate making them because hate is a strong word. But I will say I don't like to make them but I love to see one hanging on the wall at my house and also my family's houses.

Anyway, my card today features a Tim Holtz train stamp that I stamped onto Strathmore watercolor paper with black Hero Arts ink. Then I added some blue ink to the top  of the paper with the image on it and green ink to the bottom. I like the way distress inks make the whole thing more of a scene.

The clouds of the train have been enhanced with some Liquid Pearls in white. Not a ton of Liquid Pearls but just enough to look at it twice or maybe even run your finger across it to feel if it has texture or not. The background paper is by Die Cuts with a View. The gears border is a die by Tim Holtz in black Recollections cardstock. I made the sentiment with the Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps called Harold and stamped it with white pigment ink by Stampin Up. I also set an eyelet by Making Memories in front of the sentiment.

You Light up my Life

I made this card using a stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shoppe. Unfortunately they no longer sell this stamp set but here is a link to their shop Sweet Stamp Shop. They have a lot of fun stamps.

For this card I did a double embossing technique where I masked off the parts I didn't want to be blue and heat embossed the Ranger blue embossing powder. Then I came in again and just inked up the parts I wanted and re stamped the parts I wanted yellow. Yellow embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. After that I die cut the image with a Design Objectives die and inked the inside with distress ink before adding it to my card with foam adhesive.

The flower on the top and bottom started off as white Bazzill flowers that I colored in with a Copic marker. Then I cut it in half and tucked it under the die cut. My patterned papers are by Studio G {Yellow} and Creative Memories {Blue}.

Deep Red Stamps Floral Crosses

Today I'm showing three cards all similar using the same Deep Red Stamps Floral Cross that can be found at

or

I stamped the cross with black ink by Hero Arts onto Strathmore watercolor paper. I colored the flowers in with distress inks and a water pen both by Ranger. I fussy cut the cross out and used cardstock by Bazzill and Creative Memories. The polka dot paper is by Making Memories and for this first card I die cut it out with a border die by Spellbinders. I stamped the Stampin Up sentiment with black Hero Arts ink on green Creative Memories cardstock.

For this second card I used a sentiment sticker by Sticko/EK Success and patterned paper by Stampin Up.

For this third card I die cut the green cardstock with some Spellbinders corner dies. I inked them with green distress ink while they were still in the die. Sentiment sticker also by Sticko/EK Success. The polka dot paper is by Studio G.

Birthday Blessings

Today's card features another one of those dimensional flowers that I love to make. This one has been distressed with distress ink and water. Then after I formed the flower I covered the edges with red Stickles to make it sparkle. The center is a piece of jute that I looped four times and adhered it behind the stamped circle. The center stamp is by American Crafts and has been embellished with a brown rhinestone by Want 2 Scrap. The patterned paper is by October Afternoon and the sentiment stamp is by Stamping Scrapping in brown Stampin Up ink.

Happy "I Do" Day

I love it when I come up with something fun for my cards. This card has a fun sentiment that I created with Stampendous stamps and Karen Foster's heart sticker. I think I may have seen this sentiment somewhere but I can't tell you where. The ink I used for the sentiment is by Hero Arts.

Let's start with the image, it is a stamp by Stampendous and I have inked it with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger's Platinum embossing powder. Then I die cut it out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with distress ink and an ink blending tool both by Ranger. The die cut behind the image is a Cricut cut from the Ultimate Creative Sampler cartridge. It is out of Recollections pearlized cardstock and is quite pretty. The patterned paper is by Prima and the embossed paper is by The Paper Company.

Christmas Cards all Year Round

Today at the Christmas cards all year Round blog the new challenge is up and ready for you to play.

The theme this month is keep it simple with not a lot of embellishments.

So for my first card I'm using a Stampin Up patterned paper for my background and some Oriental Trading Co felt ribbon. The trees were part of a prize I won a long time ago. I thought they were a Cricut cut but I can't find them in Cricut Craft Room search. So idk where those dies are from but the green trees were white and I inked the with distress ink and sprayed them with water. The word peace is a Clearly Besotted die cut that I added red foil to it with a laminator and some Thermo Web foil.

This second card shows a little playing session I had with the Peerless watercolors on Ranger's Distress watercolor paper. I trimmed it down and matted it onto a piece of Die Cuts with a View green glitter paper.

The word noel is a Stampin Up stamp that I stamped with SU Sahara Sand ink. I colored the image in with powdered chalk mixed with paint by Stamp N Plus. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and adhered it to the background I created.
