Happy Halloween

Here is another Halloween card where the Inkadinkado stamp, which is stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink, is colored in with Copic markers. The sentiment stamp is by Close to my Heart and is stamped with Hero Arts black ink. The white Copic cardstock is called Cryogen Paper. The other cardstock of my card is by Recollections and the orange cardstock is by Coredinations. The orange patterned paper is by Pink Paislee  and the rounded square and border die cuts are by Spellbinders. I think the skull brad is by Around the Block.

Thanks for looking.

Sitting Here Cat

I have a quick sort of Halloween card to share tonight. I love cats and my hubby hates them. So this will be as close to one as I get. I colored the Inkadinkado image in with Copic Markers and cut it out. I positioned it onto a Sizzix die cut and then a Spellbinders die that has been distressed with distress ink by Ranger. The polka dot paper is by Making Memories and I can't remember the manufacturer for the diagonal stripes. The border is cut out with my Cricut, the letters for the sentiment are by Lawn Fawn, and to finish, the black cardstock is by Recollections.

Thanks for looking.

Halloween cards

I have Halloween cards to share today. They were possibilities for a class I taught with Halloween cards. For the first one I cut a circle out of a Post It and adhered it to my card base. I used distress ink and an ink blender both by Ranger to create the crazy sky with a large moon. The tombstone die is by Quickutz out of Making Memories patterned paper. The orange cardstock at the bottom is by Bazzill. It is stamped with an Inkadinkado sentiment stamp in Hero arts black ink and a Jolee's pumpkin sticker.

My second card uses stamps that I borrowed from a friend so I'm not sure on the manufacturer but I do know the die cut with the ghost in it is by Spellbinders and the paper for that die cut is by Sunborn. The patterned paper again is by Making Memories which has it's edges inked with distress ink, the orange cardstock is by Bazzill {can you tell I had strips of the same cardstock on hand?} and the cat border is by K and Co. The black and white pattern strip at the bottom is washi tape from my local scrapbook store.

Thanks for stopping by.

Manly Monday Bricks

I was asked to make cards for staff members that were retiring or in this case, he was leaving this job for another. The committee was giving each of these persons a brick with their name on it that will pave the front entrance to the school.

I used a Daricebrick dry embossing folder on white cardstock and rubbed Versa Mark on them and heat embossed the bricks with white embossing powder by myStamp Box. Then I heat embossed the name and sentiment with Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps. The ribbon is by Offray and the cardstock by Recollections

Deep Red Beloved card

My card today uses a stamp by
The stamp is called Dianthus and can be found at

I stamped the image with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger's copper embossing powder. Then I die cut it out with a Spellbinders die and I inked the inside of the die cut with Ranger's distress inks. I die cut the next largest die in the two sets for a mat behind the image. The patterned paper on the left is by Provo Craft and the paper on the right is by Prima. I inked the edges of both patterned papers. I covered the seam of the two papers with two ribbons; one grosgrain and the other velvet. The corners are also die cuts by Spellbinders and the sentiment is a sticker by Creative Imaginations.

Thanks for looking.

Halloween Tag and Card

I taught a class awhile back where we made these tags and they were so fun to make I had to include one of the makes on a card.

You can see how the two tags are similar with the embossing on the right side with two different folders {top by Fiskars and bottom is unknown} and then I distressed the edges for depth. On the left  side of the tag there is a strip of black cardstock by Recollections and a patterned washi tape that is also black in nature. Then there is the image on a little bit different orange paper with the Spellbinders die behind each in purple {I had a ton of purple cardstock left over from my sister's wedding things, so I repurposed it}. I used a pack of borders by K and Co-glittery pumpkins and skulls-where I placed small pieces of cardstock, on the pumpkins black and the skulls orange, on the back of the border to give their facial features a different color. Both tags have the Jolee's glittery bat sticker which is fun to use those repeaters.

I finished the card by adding ribbon by Little Yellow Bicycle to the top of the tag. I distressed the edges of some orange cardstock and added a strip of polka dot papers before adhering the tag to the left side of the card. I added another Jolee's sticker to act as my sentiment.

Thankful Ombre' Card

I love today's card not only because it was easy to make but because it is pleasing to the eyes. The stamp is from an old Fiskars stamp set that I stamped with distress ink by Ranger, Stampin Up dye ink and a Close to My Heart baby pink ink. The sentiment is a die cut by Stampin up that I layered multiple white ones on top of each other. The very top layer I inked the white cardstock with another color of distress ink that matched the pinks already used in my card. Love this Jennifer McGuire technique. I rounded the edges of the white cardstock and matted it on a baby pink cardstock all the way to the top of the cardstock instead of in the middle like I normally do.

Deep Red Stamps Thankful card

Today's card features a Vintage Lacy Border stamp by

which you can find at

I heat embossed one of the borders with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger copper embossing powder. I didn't know where I was going with this card when I stamped the border and I took a round about way to get to this point with finishing the card as I did.

I cut the white cardstock down and inked the edges with distress ink. I added the the brooch looking embellishment by Ranger Industries to an oval Spellbinders die cut and added some pearls by Want 2 Scrap to the white cardstock by Recollections. I added the cream colored cardstock that has its edges inked to the bottom and covered the seam with a piece of velvety ribbon. I placed that panel piece onto Deja Views patterned paper and added the Stampin Up die cut sentiment in white cardstock to the bottom. I like the way it turned out. Something different is always a welcomed surprise.

Thanks for looking.

The cape is Stardust powdered chalk mixed with paint both by Stamp N Plus. I die cut her out using a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with blue distress ink. There are two background die cuts behind the image that are cut out using my Cricut and also the sentiment label. The blue cardstock is by Recollections with the edges inked and sprayed with Perfect Pearls and water. Manly Monday Moose

I have some new Manly Monday cards for you tonight. Click on the blog name to be directed to the card and then come back and see mine at the end. Thanks.

For my manly card I stampes a moose by Stampin Up onto white cardstock and die cut him out with a Spellbinders die. I inked the inside of the die cut with distress ink by Ranger with the paper still inside, the die. I die cut the next size up of the same Spellbinders die in brown and inked the inside with dark brown distress ink.

*Just a little thing I do to save on paper {because I don't have enough already-yea right} I used the brown from the cardstock underneath the the cream colored cardstock for my brown mat die cut. That way I know that the browns match and no one ever knows that there is a hole in that layer. Same thing for the the mat around the sentiment.

The embossing folder is called Fern and the sentiment stamp comes from a set called Animal Puns which are both by Gina Marie Products.

Thanks for stopping by.

1st Sunflowers Stencil with Embossing Paste and Chalk

Our challenge at Chalk Ah Lot, green with chalk, continues for another week. I made this card using a metal stencil with white embossing paste and let it dry completely. Then I took powdered chalk with Stamp N Plus colors Teddy Bear (brown), Lime (green), and Dandy (yellow) mixed with water and a paintbrush to paint the colors onto the raised surface. I had die cut the image and that shape didn't fit with the patterned paper scrap that I had so I cut off the sides of the die cut and distressed them with scissors and then distress ink. I add some pearls by Want 2 Scrap to the edges of the die cut and then on the sentiment to make my visual triangle.

The patterned paper is by Scribble Scrabble I distressed the edges with distress ink by Ranger. The yellow cardstock is unknown but I do know that it is embossed with a Gina Marie embossing folder called Victorian Lace. The sentiment stamp is by Gina Marie Stamps on Great Bible quotes stamp set

Thanks for looking.

Boo! Scary Halloween Tree

My card today uses a stamp by
The tree stamp can be found at
I stamped the tree with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger copper embossing powder. I colored it in with distress markers, water and a water pen. Then I decided it needed something more so I cut a circle of masking paper out with my CM cutting system and masked off the moon. I applied blue distress ink around the sky portion of the cardstock and sprayed it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls. Then because I left an inch at the bottom it called for something. I dry embossed it with a Sizzix grass embossing folder and inked it with green distress ink. I love the way it turned out. The orange cardstock behind is by Bazzill, sentiment by MME and the bat sticker is by Jolee's.

Thanks for looking.
