Yellow and Blue dry embossed Thinking of You Cards

Here are some spring colored cards to get you in the mood for April. I just love my new Cuttlebug. It brings my cards to a whole new dimension and I like it. Anyway, I used the same design for these but just used slightly different embellies. I'm not sure what these cards will be used for (birthday, get well, ect) but I'm open to suggestions you may have. For all those people that give a suggestion of what kind of cards these should be, I will pick one for a RAK. I can't wait to hear what you say. Thanks tons:)

Happy Face LO

The black borders are from Creative Memories and that's all I got for ya. The pictures have a funky color to them. I think it was their camera.
I must tell you that I gave Kaylin her book last night and after seeing her light up as she looked thru it, it was well worth all the work, time and supplies. She really liked it and I was so proud and happy to hear that. I still have a few more LO's that I haven't posted yet so stayed tuned for those. Then I will be starting on her high school book as soon as she gets me the pictures.

Sketches for all sketch

I did this sketch from Sketches for all
I tweeked it a little by turning it and then using two photos instead of one but hey that's what you're suppose to do with sketches, make them your own. I made this LO at the crop I went to this weekend. It is so fun for me to use other people's things. For instance, the flower stamps, ink border punch are from my friend Paula. The stamps and ink are by CTMH and the bprder punch by Fiskars. The little Michigan die cut is from my friend Tracie's Cricut cartridge 50 States. The other supplies are: PP by DCWV; ribbon by SU; clear embossing powder by Stampendous; clear ink by Versa Mark; cream paper by CM; all stamps by CTMH; other Cricut cartirdge is Doodletype. TFL

I'm off

I'm going to a crop this weekend. Be back on Sunday:)

4th & 5th grade LO

Here is another one for Kaylin's book. This one was hard because she didn't have a school picture of fourth grade and this is the only picture from fifth grade. Instead of making a whole page on just a tiny wallet photo I decided to add the two years together. I feel like the ribbon divides the two years and the title with arrows is bold enough to know the difference. Also by putting the polka dot circle behind the fifth grade picture the attention is drawn to it which seperates the two years that much more. Stars by Quickutz; CS by Sunborn and The Paper Co; brad unknown; PP by MME; arrow stickers by Heidi Swapp; polka dot accents by MM; stamps, ink and border punch by SU; ribbon by Offray. TFL

SOS March Green Challenge #4

Do a monochromatic card, lo or project using different hues of the color green. If you scraplift my LO for your project you will be placed into a special drawing for a RAK. Let's see what you come up with. SOS link here.

SOS March Green Challenge #3

Go green with your scrapping. Use an old item that may not be designated for scrapping, use the packaging of something, try doing a project with out using adhesive or use a piece of trash for a mask or stencil with paint or glimmer mist. Like I did in my example. I used the backing of a sticker as a mask and sprayed with Glimmer Mist to make the side borders. The original sticker was used in "Finally a Winner" LO. I also used tons of scraps of paper that I should have thrown away because they were too small but I made them work. I can't wait to see what you come up with. SOS Link Here.

Logan’s Birthday Cake-It’s Not Easy Being Green scrapbook layout

Updated July 13, 2021. Again on 3-17-23
The challenge that I am referring to, is no longer around.

In the challenge at The Sisterhood of Scrap, you need to use the word green or the color green in your title. I love this little saying by Kermit the frog and how it fits with my cousin's boy's cake. TFL.

This layout is from a sketch on papercraftplanet.com. They post a sketch weekly in the Scrappy Sunday group. The stamps are by SU; title by MME; paper by CM, DCWV, Deja views, Sunborn; ink by Colorbox and ribbon by Wyla.

SOS March Green Challenge #1

The March Green challenge at Sisterhood of Scrap is posted and waiting for you. Challenge #1 is to use 3 or more of the same shape in the color green in a project (Card, LO or altered art). My example above has more than three leaves. This Lo was published in Scrapbook News and Reviews. TFL

Divas LO

Here is a lo I did for Kaylin's book. This is her 8th grade graduation which is a sign that I'm near the end. I just love these pictures. The girls are dressed up so nicely so I wanted to do something different for the page. What I did is use tulle on top of the brown CS at the bottom by sewing it on. I used Creative Memories photo tape to adhere it to my off white CS by Canon. Stickers by Creative Imaginations and EK Success; brads by Recollections from Michael's; stamps by SU and My Sentiments Exactly; ink by SU and Colorbox; Brown CS by Brazzill; Corners and tag by Daisy Bucket.
