Hi

I'm not slacking on my scrapbooking. I just happen to be working on a book for someone else and they would rather I not post anything online. Which I think is quite a bummer since the book is turning out so lovely. Oh well. You can go to http://nutsaboutsketches.blogspot.com/ to see two of my layouts that I made for them.

Dixie Pieces challenge

Here is the blog challenge for Dixie Pieces:
Okay ladies ---- one last challenge this month to earn entries into the September Prize drawing!

I want to see you blog about the top ten things you love about yourself! I know --- it's a hard one! Be honest - be funny - be hopeful --whatever you want! Post them on your blog and then let me know here! If you do not have a blog --- post them in the comment section of my blog!

In addition, if you do a layout about those 10 things --- you can have 2 extra entries!

Deadline is the end of this month!
So here it goes:
1.My love for animals
2.That I'm sarcastic
3.That I can tune things out if I want to
4.I love to help people
5.Determination
6.Being a perfectionist
7.I'm a hard worker
8.I have Compassion
9.I have good teeth and take care of them
10.I love that I am preserving lifes moments for future generations and enjoy doing so.
That was tough. There's probably better ones out there but I can't think of them right now.

I should have stared with this one and gone backwards but didn't think of it until I was half way thru. This is a mini album I made for a nurse at work. I hope she likes it. TFL

Kida

Our precious baby girl. We took her to the vet today and decided to increase her medication and then call after two weeks. If there is no improvement (she has begun leaking again) then we are going to take her to MSU for a second opinion. I'll keep you posted.

The New Inlaws

This is my brother and his boys with his new wife and her (step) mom and dad. June 09. The little cirlces have their names in them. That stamp is from SU, butterflies are from Autumn Leaves and CTMH, letters are K& Co. And I have to go to work so that's it for today. TFL
PS no sketch was used for this one. Just me.

Great Grandma Scrapbook Layout

Yesterday was Grandparent's day and I had hoped to get these posted in honor of the day but a terrible headache had other plans for me. I made this LO with a sketch from Inspired Blueprints. I'm also going to post it on Scrap That where I am the Guest Designer for the month of September. My challenge was to scrap about a grandparent. Supplies- star by Colorbok, PP by MME, CS by Pioneer and HL, stamps by SU and G Studio, brads by MM, Hot off the Press and AC, letters by QK, frame by MM and "ribbon/tulle" by Lion Ribbon Co. The ribbon is clear so I took some stamping ink and made it green. TFL

Some LO's that I found

I found these LO's in a paper container and thought they were nice. Most of the diecuts are from the Cricut. Paper in Lexi Lou is DCWV, Stamps by SU, ink by Colorbox, rhinestones in the flowers by The Paper Studio and flowers by OTC. Peaceful has to many PP's and I don't know where they are all from. Although the buckle is recycled item from Oma's sewing stash. The LO with Callie and Grandma has CM paper and flowers by Prima and The Paper Studio. TFLPosted by Picasa

Thank you cards

I was asked for a thank you card a few weeks ago and was not very happy with my stash. I made about 14 cards for the next person that needs a card. These are just a few of them that I thought turned out nice. I'm not sure about all the supplies I used. I do know that some of it is by Creative Memories and the stamps are by G Studio. TFL

TY card

I did something different with this card. I tried using the clear backing of a sticker sheet. I painted it, which didn't work so well because it beaded up but if you wait for it to dry a little and then reapply the paint a few times you get what I got. So after that I punched tiny little leaves out of it and punctured a hole into each one. Then I used the fuzzy brown thread-like stuff and thread it thru the hole. It's hard to see real good. TFL=)
