Christmas Card Book Layout Dan 2007

I hope I haven't shown this layout before but I can't make any promises. The size is 8 1/2 x 11 and I followed the sketch at the bottom.

White, black and red cardstock by Recollections. I inked a Tim Holtz stencil to the right upper side of the picture with the smoked distress ink.

The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye (Santa) and The Yellow Bicycle (gold). The flourish was cut out with my Cricut and the numbers for the year are stickers.

Candy Cane Card

Christmas cards continue...I stamped the candy cane stamp (Craft Smart by Michael's) with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger red embossing powder. I die cut it out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with red distress ink. I layered the image on top of another Spellbinders die with green cardstock and then on a die of red foam. I adhered those to the scrap of Stampin Up patterned paper before adding the panel to the card base by Recollections.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts with red SU ink. It is matted onto a piece of The Paper Studio patterned paper. The holly is a punch out of SU green cardstock.

Deep Red Stamps Nativity Scene

My card today is also a Christmas card and it uses the Nativity scene stamp from Deep Red

I stamped with a rust colored pigment ink by Colorbox onto kraft cardstock by Oriental Trading Co. I let it dry overnight before trimming it down to the size you see. I filled in the star with a Wink of Stella gold pen.

For the rest of the card I layered some unknown mulberry paper with gold shapes on it to the top of the same kraft cardstock. The gold paper in the center is from Creative Memories, which I don't think they sell anymore. I border cut both sides of the edges with a Fiskars punch. I layered all the pieces on top of each other and added an unknown epoxy sentiment sticker to the center.

Stampendous Glory Card

I'm hopefully back in full swing this December with some new things to share. Today I have two cards that are larger cards then what I normally make - size 6.5x5 and 5x6.5.

The first card uses this Christmas sentiment stamp by Stampendous with Hero Arts black ink on a Sizzix scalloped oval die cut. The Cricut cut oval patterned paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle and the trees by Making Memories. In the upper right corner I placed a star sticker by Mrs. Grossman and from that sticker I inked rays with distress ink. It's subtle but still pretty.

This Christmas card use a sentiment stamp by Hero Arts with brown SU ink. Green die cut in the middle is Spellbinders out of Sunborn cardstock. The green cardstock on the left is by SU.

Here they are together.

Have a great day.

Quickly going through them; the background is a stencil (The Crafter's Workshop) and distress ink (Ranger), left card sentiment (Stamp N Plus) with die cuts (Spellbinders) and the right sentiment (Stampin Up) with punch to match and I punched some foam to go underneath the stamp; border punches (Martha Stewart) with eyelets through them (Doodlebug Designs), presents are die cuts (Studio 112) and teal die cuts (Making Memories).

Santa Christmas Layout

I have a layout to share today. I Cricut cut out two red circles. I stamped the Santa hat and then the sentiment in it's own circle. The stamp set and red ink are by Stampin Up. I inked the edges of each circle with distress ink. The photos are each backed with patterned paper and then I adhered everything onto white cardstock. The Santa hat has liquid Pearls on the bottom and a little drop at the top. The stockings at the bottom right are stickers by Jolee's/EK Success.

Merry Christmas Wreath Card

For today's card I Cricut cut a bunch of doors with a white back and a circle with a circle cut out of the middle. I randomly stamped the circle/wreath with the same holly stamp in green and colored them in with colored pencils. I adhered the door die cuts together and then to the patterned paper (Basic Grey). I adhered the wreath to the door and set a red brad at the top. I stamped the Plaid stamp sentiment on white cardstock using red ink by SU. Then I added the panel to the front of a card base. I prefer the brad to not show through on the inside of the card for the recipient to see it.

Fall Embellishments

I think I'm going crazy with my blog lately. As I look at my draft list I feel like I've already posted these embellishments but I can't find them. Here it goes.

The first set I separated mulberry paper on the edges with water and a multi purpose tool. I inked up some off white cardstock and some orangish cardstock by Bazzill. The pumpkin sticker and leaf punch are both by Creative Memories. I stamped a small leaf onto the punched leaf and I created the word fall with Lawn Fawn stamps with brown Stampin Up ink.

In this second set, I used cardstock by Forever in Time. The corner stickers are by Creative Memories. I created the word fall with Lawn Fawn stamps with brown Stampin Up ink. The grass at the bottom is a stamp using Memento green ink.

On the last set of embellies I used more stickers by Creative Memories, punches by Marvy and McGill, stamps by Lawn Fawn, Stampin Up and TPC Studio, ink by Close to my Heart, Distress ink and Stampin Up ink and cardstock by Coredinations and Recollections.

Sketches in Thyme Project Life

Sorry no Manly Monday this week because it's my day at Sketches in Thyme Project Life. I followed this sketch:

I had these arrow heads from Cricut's Bits and Pieces cartridge left over from a background I made with all arrows. I layered them on top of each other as shown:

I stamped the border stamp from TPC Studio with black Hero Arts ink. The patterned paper is by Creative Memories.

The number stamps are by Lawn Fawn with Hero Arts charcoal ink. The die cuts the numbers are on are also a negative to a Cricut.

Here is the whole page. The small stamps are by Lawn Fawn and the 1971 stamp is by Stampin Up. The white arrows are from the same Cricut backkground as above and the black are from an unknown punch.

Tree Christmas cards

I made some Christmas cards using the same tree stamp by MyStamp Box and Stampin Up green ink.  The sentiment stamps are by Hero Arts and one by Stampendous.  I decided to put them all into one post so this is a long one.

This first one I embossed the red die cut with an ornament Cuttlebug embossing folder. The square is a Spellbinders die and the circle is a Cricut cut from Holiday cakes. The sentiment die is unknown. I colored in the tree with Smooch ink and topped it with a star rhinestone. The striped paper is by We R Memory Keepers.

Second one uses a border by Spellbinders and circle cut out with Creative Memories cutting system. I inked the circle with distress ink. Patterned paper is unknown.

Third one has a border punch by EK Success, die cut by Spellbinders and an oval punch by Marvy. The patterned paper is by K and Co and star rhinestone by Darice.

The polka dot paper is by Bazzill. The die cuts are by Spellbinders except the circles are Cricut cuts. The brads are by American Crafts and star rhinestone by Darice.

Stampendous Christmas card

Today's card uses two Stampendous stamps: world background and sentiment. I heat embossed the background with gold embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment onto a Spellbinders die cut with Hero Arts black ink. I set some Making Memories eyelets into the die cut and wrapped some gold elastic inside and taped it to the back.

Manly Monday Catch You Later

I'm trying to get Manly Monday back into the blog posts. Today's card uses a stamp by Great Impressions that I stamped with Hero Arts ink onto watercolor paper by Strathmore. Then I colored the image in with distress ink. The orange background is glossy paper that I inked with alcohol inks. The road line is a TPC Studio stamp that was stamped with white pigment ink by SU and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I took a yellow pen and filled in the lines of the stamp. The background paper is by We R Memory Keepers. The sentiment is a Cricut cut from Just Because Cards cartridge.
